MicroAident ist eine Ausgründung der Uni Graz. Wir entwickeln eine Mikroskopie-basierte Lösung zur Identifizierung von Krankheitserregern in Blutkulturen. Unsere Kombination aus fluoreszierenden Farbstofflösungen und KI-basierten Bildanalysemodell ermöglicht eine kostengünstige, zuverlässige Klassifikation medizinisch relevanter Erreger innerhalb von Minuten. Gerade in ressourcenarmen Krankenhäusern wird unsere Lösung die Behandlung von Infektionskrankheiten deutlich verbessern.

Zusammen mit unseren Partnern an den Unikliniken Graz und Münster erweitern wir derzeit den Groundtruth-Datensatz und benötigen deine Hilfe um das ML-Modell weiter zu entwickeln; besonders in Hinblick auf den geplanten Piloteinsatz in unserem Partnerkrankenhaus in Sierra Leone in 2027.

Wir suchen jemanden mit:

  • Erfahrung in Machine Learning
  • Interesse an Image Processing, besonders Segmentierung
  • Vorteilhaft: Erfahrung in Softwareentwicklung
  • Freude an interdisziplinärer Zusammenarbeit und an angewandter Forschung mit direktem Impact auf die Patientenversorgung

Vollzeit-Anstellung ab 1.11.2026 für mindestens 9 Monate. Das Setting ist forschungsnah und flexibel.

Mindestbruttogehalt von € 4.000 pro Monat (Vollzeit). Überzahlung je nach Qualifikation und Erfahrung möglich.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of our AI model

Must Have

  • Bachelor Degree or Higher
  • Experience in machine learning
  • Strong Python skills
  • Creative and autonomous
  • Valid work permit for Austria

  • Strong analytical skills
